The UF IEEE student branch hosted a 24 hour programming competition called
IEEEXtreme5.0 . Our student branch fielded 9 teams this year in a field of 1515 teams worldwide. Two UF teams placed 1st and 2nd out of 227 teams in the United States and 13th and 14th in the world. Other UF teams placed 38th, 43rd, 54th, 178th, 189th, 191st, and 331st worldwide.
